Parent Information
Dear Parents,
Our desire, as the Children's Ministry Team, is to allow God to create an atmosphere where your children can belong in a healthy relationship with God and others, and can become more like Jesus Christ each day. Below are some commonly asked questions and answers to help ease the transition of leaving your children in our care.
Sincerely,
Relevant Life Church Children's Ministry Team
How do you choose staff for Relevant Kids?
We ask all who show interest in teaching/helping in Relevant Kids to pray about their decision to make sure this is the area God has called them to serve in. Then they meet with the Children's Leader to discuss their future role. After the individual's desire is clear, they must also agree to the guidelines of the Relevant Kids teacher handbook. Relevant Life Church then performs a background check on each and every individual before they serve.
What are Relevant Kids security Guidelines?
Security is a top priority at Relevant Life Church and we want you to feel comfortable leaving your children in our care. For the safety of all children who attend Relevant Kids we ask that you follow the check-in/check-out procedures closely and rest assured your child will not be released to anyone without the proper identifying tag. If there is a special situation which requires extra attention on our part, please let us know!
Who can pick up my child from Relevant Kids?
We ask that parents of each individual child bring and pick up their own children. We understand that sometimes another person may be given instructions to pick up your child, but please remember that this person must have the correct identifying tag in order to do so.
How do I sign my child in?
Sign your child in at the Registration Table. You will make a name tag for your child and keep the sticky backing for your "tag" to identify who can pick this child up. Once you have signed in, a Relevant Kids Ministry Team Member will direct your child to the appropriate area. At the end of the adult worship experience, return to the Relevant Kids area and present your identifying tag. We will begin to recognize your smiling face, but please realize that this is a necessary step in our safety procedure. Please remember, at least one parent must remain on campus at all times during your child's participation in Relevant Kids. This ensures that we can reach you in case of an emergency.
What if my child needs me?
If for any reason we need to contact you we will project the identifying "check-in" number on the screen in the adult worship experience. If you see your child’s number on the screen simply report back to Relevant Kids as soon as possible. From there we will discuss why you were contacted.
