Welcome to the Volunteer Opportunities in Children's Ministry! The fact that you clicked on this link means that you have an interest in making the difference in the life of a child. One of the great things about serving in Children's Ministry is that no matter what gift or talent you have, we have a place for you!
Teacher - If you like working with children in an exciting, fast paced environment - Teaching and directly influencing their lives - then you will thrive as an Relevant Kids teacher. Teachers serve during one service each weekend. Serving each weekend provides leaders and children the opportunity to build solid relationships that open doors for them to learn to “Love God" and “Love Others”!Sub Teacher - Substitute teaching may be just right for you if you like working with children but may not have the time to commit to each Sunday. Being available when needed gives the teachers and the children someone they can count on!
Greeter - If you are a friendly person with a smiling face then you have what it takes to be a part of the greeting and registration team in Relevant Kids! You know who you are! Volunteers serve during one service each weekend and help new families find their way and regular attenders get signed in.
Weekly Administration Team - Do you like to gather materials and be crafty with scissors? You would be a vital asset to the Relevant KidsTeam! There is a lot of prep work to make each week happen and, best of all, it can be done when it fits in your schedule. Return the supplies before each Sunday Service, and you have made a huge difference!
Monthly Administration Team - If you are organized, love putting things together, or just love the idea of being a part of a vital support team, this is the place for you! Once a month you will help make copies for the next month's curriculum. This can be done at whatever time best fits your schedule (Monday-Friday).
Setup - Do you like to assist in setting up the atmosphere? The Relevant Kids setup team needs your help. Each Saturday morning setup takes a number of people to make Relevant Kids happen - setting up chairs, tables and props. Arriving at 9am for 1 hour will be key in getting it all done.
Breakdown - If you prefer to stay in bed a little longer, but still want to be part of the Relevant Kids team, then breakdown is the place for you. Each Sunday when learning time is done we have to make sure the equipment gets packed and made ready for easy setup the following week. Breakdown lasts anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes past service time.
