Rick Valarezo
Lead Pastor
Rick Valarezo is the founding and lead pastor of Relevant Life Church. He is a graduate of Tate High School in Pensacola and Troy University. Before starting Relevant Life, Rick served on staff at Journey Church for 3 years where he was the youth minister and led in other ministry projects for the church. Also, Rick served in the Air Force for 8 years. Rick's passion in life is to see God's creation seek Him with a pure & genuine heart. Rick has been married to his wife Melissa for the past 7 years. While not pastoring a local church, Rick enjoys spending time with his family, exercising and playing golf (yeah not too much golf playing happening).
Melissa Valarezo
Ministry Coordinator
Melissa Valarezo is a graduate of Tate High School and University of West Florida with a degree in Fitness. She was on staff as the Administrative Assistant of Journey Church for 3 years. Melissa assisted in coordinating the beginning stages of the children’s/pre-school ministries. Melissa’s life motto is to “leave a legacy”. She is a wife, mother and Christ follower who is extremely passionate about growing to be more like Christ daily. On her off time, Melissa loves to exercise and play tennis. Her heart’s desire is eventually to minister to women through a health and fitness ministry. She knows God has called her to this and feels it is a much needed and greatly neglected area of ministry.

Aaron is a founding member of Relevant Life Church and currently the Life Groups Leader. He is from Cantonment, FL a graduate of Tate High School and the University of Florida with a BA in Business Administration. He is married to Ashley Cook who serves with the Pre-K children. Aaron owns Cook’s Insurance Brokers in Pensacola. He is an avid golfer, and also enjoys fishing, camping, wakeboarding, and volunteering. Aaron has a passion for people and believes in the strength of the Christian relationships formed in our Life Groups. “In a Life Group you will find ears to listen, hearts that care, knowledge to feed you, and a common purpose in life.”
