The Story
In the fall of 2007 Pastor Rick Valarezo and his family began to pray about taking a giant step of faith by starting a new church. Over the past few years the Valarezos had been serving on the staff of a new contemporary church start in Alabama. After much prayer and consideration it became clear that it was God’s will for the Valarezo family to take a HUGE step of faith and follow that same model. At the time of this decision there was no money, no members and no prospects for starting the church; however, they followed the leading of the Spirit of God and God began to provide the resources and connections with people. Relevant Life Church launched its first Public Worship on February 1st, 2009, with a group of 20 devoted followers and had 130 people in attendance.
In 2009 we prayed, led and witnessed 20 commitments to Jesus who followed through with baptism. In 2010 we saw over 24 people place their faith in Jesus. Here we are in 2011 and already we have seen 17 decisions to follow Christ. Not only have we been a part of approx. 61 new decisions to follow Christ our Lord, but we have seen relationships mended, marriages restored and faith increased all the more. Relevant Life Church continues to grow as we seek to serve and impact the areas of Pace & Milton, FL.
